Europe is the most visited tourist destination around the world, with a wide range of landscapes, climate variations and a rich history. The European continent is home to nearly 50 countries so preparing for a European tour is difficult. The site attracts around 6.5 million visitors annually and, based on traffic data in the last months, we are able to set a ranking of top destinations.
The continent is huge with so many places to explore. Here are my favourite best countries to travel to in Europe. So let's begin planning our European vacations for the next few days of the holiday season.
01. Bavaria, Germany
The German region of Bavaria does not have a lot of tourist attractions in European Europe. It is an extraordinary and beautiful destination here. Bavaria houses this fairytale castle famous for its beauty. Located outside Munich, Schloss Neuschwanstein is a must-see on the tour.
Highlights include the Oktoberfest city of Munich and the surprising city of Nuremberg, amazing wineries in Germany and lots of fun in the German Alpine mountains. With the stunning landscape and wonderful activities available, Bavaria is regarded in Europe as being among the best.
02. Santorini, Greece
During the visit I will take you to the beautiful island of Santorini. It is a famous Greek island famous for whitewashed settlements and blue domes. There are lovely sandy and black beaches, picturesque villages and ancient sites. European destinations have everything.
03. Paris, France
It's no wonder Paris was so popular it was considered Europe's most famous place to visit. It was a great time to visit this lovely European city. Walking the Seine and seeing the Eiffel tower never goes away, visit its many museums and admire its beautiful architecture takes four days.
It has some of Europes best attractions. For the most part, when you visit Europe, Paris is at the top of your list. There are several reasons it tops most people's list of the most beautiful places in Europe.
04. Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
Irish are a wonderful nation, with a huge number of tourist destinations. The family had been there five times before. We have a great vacation in Italy. Tell me the best way to find the best place? Well, starting with Dublin will give an excellent starting point but the city will be the destination for day trips from this city.
The best visited spot on Ireland is the Cliffs of Moher, because they offer excellent views over the sea. There is a lot of activities to enjoy in Ireland. One of our favourite places is on the Wild Atlantic Way. The highlights of Ireland are visible in each step.
05. Istanbul, Turkey
Traverse two continents at Istanbul. This is not only Europe's most spectacular destination – it has food from Asian countries too! Istanbul blends the Old with New, making it unique in European cities.
Among the oldest archeological structures and traditions is an exciting evening life. Take an easy stroll on Grand Boulevard and enjoy the blue mosque while sipping Turkish coffee at the Galatian Bridge. Go in to Istanbul city center and walk through the walking streets to get some Turkish delights!
06. Amalfi Coast, Italy
Speaking of beautiful European destinations, the Italian Amalfi Coast is amongst the most beautiful destinations. It's an ideal honeymoon location in Europe. There are several cliffside villages on the Mediterranean coast with Positano in its center. It's time for some luxurious stuff.
07. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam will be on everyone's list as one place in Europe. Van Gogh lived at his residence and the canal-town was built as a tourist destination. This charming center is designed for bike riding and pedestrian-friendly, colorful buildings on the waterline lined with cafes, this will be the highlight of your European tour.
Amsterdam will be higher on our list but the trip took surprisingly long to arrive. Probably that was my first trip back to Germany where I could take another plane? Maybe?
08. Giants Causeway, Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast offers amazing holiday destinations. A big attraction here is the Giants Causeway. UNESCO World Heritage Site, the castle is Irelands most popular tourist attraction.
Beautiful location in Country Antrim. An unusual location. Basalt Pillars formed 60 million years ago when flowing lava was cooled from water crashing towards the coastline and forming a symmetric hexagon stacked on top.
09. Fjords of Norway
We took the train to the Sognefjord to sail through Nryfjord Norway. They are not just Norway's most beautiful fjord. The capital of Oslo boasts the best Viking ship museum and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, ski touring and observing the Northern Lights.
10. Catalunya, Spain
Catalana has a capital: Barcelona. Barcelona certainly is a good destination for visiting Spanish and European destinations! During these visits we find new things. Works by the Gaudi design cityscapes between Safra Familia and Casa Mila creating the perfect holiday destination and city break. It can be visited by a variety of tourists.
Swiss Alps
The Alpine regions of Switzerland are a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. While skiing, hiking and snowboarding generally dominate this area, you'll find a picturesque village, tranquil lakes and stunning surroundings.
Luxurious mountain resorts can also be found throughout the region and are perfect places to visit. A trip into Switzerland would never be complete without a hot cheese fondue. A trip to Prague can take you into the magical world of fairy tales!
